It's easy to create a trip page which will ONLY gather interest from your customers, by displaying a captivating itinerary, but NOT accepting bookings. This option is great for trip planners who want to share trip options with their clients, where they can respond with what packages, activities, etc. they are interested in adding to their trip (the trip planner using this feedback to then create a customized trip).
Follow this checklist to learn how to set up a trip page in "brochure mode."
Step 1: Create a trip page & make it public or private
The choice is yours! Make the trip page 'public' so that people can click on a shared link & view it.
Note: you can make it 'listed' if you want to embed the trip page into your website
Alternatively, if you choose to set your trip as 'private,' you can share a magic link with anyone that your trip is meant for.
Step 2: Enable 'brochure mode' under 'pricing'
-It should say "Not taking payments"
-Update the "Estimated Price" field
-Update the "Pricing Section Heading" field
-Update the "Pricing Explanation" field
-Make sure to click "Save Changes" (upper right)
Step 3: Set up your buttons and registration form options, under 'settings'Note: This step is still important, even in brochure mode. In YouLi, a traveler registering is their expression of interest -- their intention to go on a particular trip!
-Update your "Register Button Label" field (i.e. "Express Interest")
-Ask them a question in the "Comment Prompt" field (i.e. "Tell us which activity looks most exciting!")
-Add in your Privacy & Terms, for your travelers to consent to
-Allow your travelers to register in pairs or groups (what we call 'invitation groups')
OPTIONAL things that you can also do:
Option No. 1: Turn off any extra menu items you don't need and do not want visible to your registered travelers
Option No. 2: Assign tasks for form completion and travel document collection
Option No. 3: On any of our premium plans you can switch between 'brochure mode' and 'bookings mode' on any of your trip pages
Step 5: Test out what your travelers will experience
-Click "Share Link"
To view this trip page as the public would (someone who is NOT registered):
-Click the copy icon on the right (two rectangles)
-Paste the link into a new browser tab
-Go through the flow as your traveler would!
If you set your trip page to 'private' and you want to view the trip page as a specific person (to see the trip page from their perspective), click on the 'Get Magic Link for a specific person' dropdown and choose a traveler
-Again here, go through the flow as your traveler would!
Step 6: If a trip page is 'public,' share your link on social media, email it to people or link from your website to start collecting expressions of interest
Be sure to update your SHARE SUMMARY to improve the way your trip pages appear on social media posts.
